Welcome to Museum Staphorst, the cultural heart of the village! Discover all facets of history and daily life in this sympathetic museum. Staphorst is one of the last villages in the Netherlands where women wear regional costumes every day. The community is the bearer of many living traditions.
Visit the ground floor of the museum to see the permanent presentation. Here you can learn more about the traditional costume, the Staphorst interior, crafts and farm life. On the first floor of the museum you will find the annual exhibition. In 2023, the museum will show photos by Henk van der Leeden, who became internationally known with unique photos of Dutch traditional costumes.
